In this revised and expanded edition of a WJK classic, outstanding contributors present overviews of the world's major religions as they are practiced in America. From Hinduism to Judaism, contributors provide basic, accessible information about each religion, discussing its history, its founders, and, in particular, its development in America. Throughout, attention is given to two questions: How does religion shape American life? and How does religion impact the political life of this country?
